OUR STORY
Reborn Warrior was born out of a simple conviction: those who run toward danger for our sake should not have to walk through their pain alone. After years of listening to veterans and first responders—and watching churches struggle to respond—we saw a gap. Warriors and families needed a safe, culturally aware environment to process trauma and moral injury. Churches needed a clear, Christ-centered pathway to care for them. Reborn Warrior exists to bridge that gap—channeling the healing of heaven to servant warriors through structured groups, marriage and family support, worship, and community.
VISION
To channel the healing of heaven that servant warriors might be reborn through Christ’s love, discovering a renewed spirit and refreshed purpose to faithfully serve others.
MISSION
We help military veterans, active-duty personnel, first responders, and their families heal from trauma, moral injury, and spiritual brokenness experienced from their service calling through Christ-centered, peer-led community groups, resources, and events
The Reborn Warrior Pledge
We see you.
You answered the call others would not.
You carried what most will never know.
And somewhere along the way, the weight became more than the mission prepared you for.
We believe you are not beyond repair.
Not beyond healing. Not beyond purpose.
Not beyond the reach of a love that has walked into darker places than yours and come out the other side.
So here is our promise to you:
We will stand beside you — not above you.
We will walk with those who have walked through fire, flood, and the fog of things no debrief could ever touch.
We will create a place where your story is safe, your wounds are honored, and your healing is pursued with the same commitment you gave to your mission.
We will point you to the One who bears every scar, absorbs every shame, and restores what service and suffering have taken — not to make you who you were, but to unleash who you were always meant to become.
We will not give up on you.
Not when the healing is slow.
Not when the road doubles back.
Not when the darkness argues that it's permanent.
Because we believe this:
The warrior who has been broken open is often the one most ready to be reborn.
And a reborn warrior — healed, whole, and anchored in Christ — does not simply return to life.
They return to lead it.
Our Founders
Reborn Warrior was founded by Scott and Heidi Cunningham, whose mission is to serve those who serve others. Scott, a retired disabled Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and Heidi share a deep love for God and country and a profound appreciation for the sacrifices made by frontline defenders and their families. Scott’s early life was marked by loss—adopted as an infant and then losing his adoptive father at age 12—but through faith in God, he and his family found healing and strength. His personal journey and passion for seeing families restored is at the heart of Reborn Warrior.
